CPT is a fast-growing organization that leverages the Odoo ERP platform to streamline and integrate core business functions, including Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting, and Human Resources. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Odoo System Administrator to ensure our system remains optimized, secure, reliable, and aligned with business needs.

Job Description

The Odoo System Administrator will serve as the primary owner of the Odoo environment, responsible for system health, performance, security, and configuration. The role involves technical administration, end-user support, system customization, documentation, and collaboration with functional teams and developers.

Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Administration & Maintenance

Manage user accounts, permissions, and security groups.

Administer Odoo installations (on-premise, Odoo.sh, or SaaS), including updates and module deployments.

Perform and monitor backups, system restores, and disaster recovery procedures.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system uptime.

Manage database operations, including cleanup, optimization, and migration tasks.

User Support & Training

Act as first-level support for all Odoo-related issues.

Diagnose and resolve user-reported system and process problems.

Develop and deliver onboarding and refresher training for users.

Maintain system documentation, manuals, and workflow guides.

Configuration & Customization

Configure and enhance existing Odoo applications using native tools (low-code).

Gather business requirements and translate them into system configurations.

Coordinate with internal or external developers for custom builds and integrations.

Support testing, deployment, and change management activities.

Data Management & Integration

Execute data imports/exports with high data integrity.

Develop and maintain integrations with external platforms (e-commerce, payment gateways, logistics, etc.).

Support ETL, API, and middleware workflows.

Security & Compliance

Enforce security policies, access controls, and data protection standards.

Apply security patches and version upgrades in a timely manner.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).

QualificationsRequired

Experience: 35 years in Odoo system administration or ERP administration.

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred certifications:

- Odoo Technical/Functional Certification

- Linux / PostgreSQL certifications

- ITIL, or related qualifications

Strong understanding of Odoo architecture, modules, and backend admin tools.

Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL querying.

Experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu preferred).

Experience in system backup, restoration, and migration.

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users.

Professional proficiency in English.

Self-driven, proactive, and improvement-oriented.

High attention to detail and data integrity.

Customer-centric mindset with strong service orientation.

Capable of working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.

Highly Preferred

Odoo Technical or Functional Certification.

Basic knowledge of Python and XML; familiarity with Odoo ORM.

Experience with APIs and integration tools (REST, XML-RPC).

Knowledge of key business processes (Sales, Procurement, Inventory, MRP).

Working Conditions

This role is office-based at our Factory, located in Herafia East B Industrial Zone Badr City, Cairo.

Fixed working hours from 08:30 am to 5:00 pm, 2 days off (Friday & Saturday).
