About the Role

We are seeking an Of Counsel Healthcare Regulatory professional to lead and grow our Healthcare Regulatory practice in KSA. This senior position will play a pivotal role in advising clients, shaping regulatory frameworks, and driving business development initiatives across the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on healthcare regulatory frameworks, including drafting and reviewing laws, governance processes, policies, and standards.
  • Provide advisory support on licensing, operational compliance, and regulatory enforcement.
  • Prepare and implement policies and procedures for healthcare facilities.
  • Draft and review commercial contracts for public and private sector projects, including PPPs.
  • Support corporate structuring, M&A, and JV due diligence from a regulatory perspective.
  • Advise on health data, privacy, and patient consent matters.
  • Counsel clients in the life sciences and biotech sector, including pharmaceutical, medical device, and clinical trial regulatory matters.
  • Represent healthcare clients in regulatory investigations and disciplinary matters (medical liability litigation handled separately).
  • Lead matter strategy, oversight of juniors, timelines, quality control, and client engagement.
  • Drive practice growth through BD, proposals, and participation in sector events and conferences.

Requirements & Personal Attributes

  • Qualified lawyer with 1015+ years PQE.
  • Demonstrated experience in corporate, commercial, and regulatory healthcare matters.
  • Strong MENA and preferably KSA healthcare regulatory background.
  • Proven ability to manage complex files and supervise teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the capability to grow a practice.
  • Excellent communication and judgment skills.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic preferred).

Relationships

External clients, regulators, and government bodies; internal collaboration with Heads of Department, Riyadh Office leadership, cross-practice teams, Business Development, Marketing, and Knowledge Management.
