Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and design-driven Project Architect with strong technical proficiency and proven coordination experience to lead and manage the appointed consultants on a landmark high-rise residential development in the UAE. The ideal candidate will play a central role in delivering the project from design through to execution, ensuring alignment with client vision, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural delivery of a high-rise residential tower, ensuring design excellence and technical integrity throughout all project stages.
- Coordinate effectively between the client, appointed consultants, and internal stakeholders to manage deliverables, design packages, and technical reviews.
- Oversee the development of design documentation (concept to IFC), ensuring compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, and client expectations.
- Review and comment on consultant submissions, shop drawings, and materials for architectural coordination and quality assurance.
- Lead design coordination meetings and workshops to resolve interdisciplinary issues across architectural, structural, MEP, and facade disciplines.
- Monitor the project schedule and ensure timely delivery of design packages and consultant outputs.
- Participate in site inspections and support the construction team in resolving technical and design-related queries (RFIs, NCRs, etc.).
- Ensure design aligns with sustainability targets, value engineering strategies, and buildability considerations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Minimum 812 years of architectural experience, with a proven track record in the UAE on high-rise residential or mixed-use buildings.
- Strong design background with the ability to interpret and develop architectural concepts into detailed, buildable solutions.
- Sound knowledge of UAE local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc.).
- Proficient in coordination processes and multidisciplinary integration.
- Technically proficient in reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction detailing.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in architectural software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or similar) is preferred.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience managing external design consultants.
- Exposure to design & build or fast-track delivery environments.
- Ability to anticipate risks, resolve design conflicts, and uphold quality standards under pressure.
- LEED or Estidama certification is a plus.
