Role Overview

The Officer, Network & Security (UAEN) supports the management, configuration, and maintenance of PureCS's network infrastructure and security systems. The role ensures secure, efficient, and reliable network operations and works closely with senior team members to implement network configurations, security solutions, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Assist in administering network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Monitor network traffic and performance, escalating issues when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and security‑related incidents.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of network security policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update network and security documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist with patch management and deployment of security updates.
• Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and infrastructure health.
• Support ITIL processes including change, incident, and problem management.
• Stay updated with emerging network and security technologies and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in network and/or IT security administration.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and common network devices.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security.
• Entry‑level certifications preferred (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent).
• Additional certifications in firewall security (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet NSE) and ITIL are advantageous.
