Roles and Responsibilities
- Process policy-related financial transactions, including premium receipts, claims, surrenders, maturity benefits, refunds and other policy servicing transactions through the Company's business systems.
- Prepare accounting entries for operating expenses, commissions, staff claims, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, bank charges and other finance transactions, and maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
- Process vendor payments, staff reimbursements and other approved payments in accordance with Company policies and service standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, suspense account monitoring and other balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare necessary adjustment entries.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, including preparation of journals, schedules and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and support the preparation of financial reports, management reports, regulatory returns and other reporting schedules.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, banks, auditors and other external parties on finance-related matters.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Candidates with an educational background in Accounting, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative disciplines
- Relevant experience in a similar position. Experience with SAP/month-end/life insurance industry will be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational skills and Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese (written and spoken)
