Job Description

ABOUT GLORIA JEANS

Gloria Jeans is one of the largest vertically integrated fast fashion retailers, with a strong heritage in denim and accessible fashion for families and young consumers. The company operates a network of 600+ stores across Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, supported by a significant marketplace and e-commerce presence. Gloria Jeans is now headquartered in Dubai, positioning the company for its next phase of international expansion, with brand.com targeted to grow from roughly 1–2% of revenue today toward a 15–20% online penetration ambition.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Online Merchandiser owns the day-to-day commercial performance and presentation of the brand.com product range – ensuring the right products are visible, findable, priced, and positioned to convert at every stage of the customer journey, from homepage and category pages through to PDP and cart.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that translates the wider e-commerce and buying strategy into daily site merchandising decisions, working closely with the VP E-commerce, Buying/Merchandising, CRM, and Digital Product teams to maximize sell-through, conversion, and margin across categories – including the ongoing expansion into Home and Beauty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Category & Range Merchandising

  • Own the online product range plan by category, ensuring depth and breadth align with demand and stock availability
  • Curate homepage, landing pages, and category pages to reflect priority ranges, new arrivals, and best-sellers
  • Manage product sequencing and ranking rules to balance commercial priority with customer relevance
  • Partner with Buying/Merchandising to align store and online assortments, including exclusives and online-only SKUs

2. Search, Navigation & Discoverability

  • Own search relevance tuning, synonyms, and merchandised search results (working with the site search tool/vendor)
  • Maintain and evolve filter and facet logic to reduce zero-result searches and improve product findability
  • Monitor site search and navigation analytics to identify friction points in the Traffic → PDP → Cart funnel

3. Pricing, Promotions & Markdown Execution

  • Execute the online pricing and promotional calendar in coordination with Growth, Merchandising, and CRM
  • Monitor discount intensity and markdown cadence online to protect margin while driving sell-through
  • Ensure accurate, timely price and promotion updates across brand.com and connected marketplace channels

4. Product Content & PDP Quality

  • Own PDP content standards: imagery, sizing information, attributes, descriptions, and cross-sell/upsell placement
  • Work with Creative/Content teams to prioritize photography and copy for new launches and key categories
  • Audit content completeness and quality ahead of major launches and campaigns

5. New Category Launches (Home, Beauty)

  • Support onboarding and merchandising of new categories, including third-party/marketplace SKU integration
  • Define category navigation structure, attribute sets, and merchandising rules for new ranges
  • Coordinate with Operations on category-specific requirements (e.g. expiry-sensitive handling for Beauty)

6. Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and report SKU- and category-level performance: sell-through, stock turn, conversion, and margin
  • Identify underperforming ranges and recommend markdown, re-merchandising, or delisting actions
  • Feed range and merchandising insights into the wider e-commerce conversion and CRO roadmap

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the VP E-commerce, Buying/Merchandising, CRM, Digital Product/IT, and Marketplace teams
  • Coordinate with Marketplace/GCC teams to align assortment and content across brand.com and marketplace listings

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Russian language is mandatory
  • 3–6+ years in online merchandising, e-commerce trading, or digital buying, ideally in fashion/retail
  • Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms, site search/merchandising tools, and PIM/CMS systems
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working in Excel/BI tools with SKU-level and funnel data
  • Understanding of fashion retail merchandising principles: sell-through, markdown cadence, range planning
  • Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment

What We Offer

- International exposure across multicultural teams and Middle East–focused projects

- Career growth in a fast-scaling global fashion retail environment

- Comprehensive benefits package
