Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the plant performance on a day-to-day basis
• Observe and analyses the plant O&M KPI's
• Manage the plant's spares.
• Supervise all technicians on site.
• On-site problem solving aims to eliminate / decrease downtimes.
• Plan, schedule and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly activities to ensure smooth operation of the plant
• Identify problems, faults, and abnormality in the operation of the plant and execute a predictive, corrective, and preventive maintenance
• Travel to the projects sites and vendors if required, to perform all on-site installation, and maintenance as required
• Provide reports from project site for the operation status of the plant
• Evaluate the plant performance and provide a plan for improve it.
• Prompt response to emergency cases
• Responsible about the project budget to provide the main items needed ensuring a smooth operation for the plant
• Support in pre-commissioning and commissioning process to notify them with any required modifications in the plant in coordination with O&M Manager
• Communicate with the HSSE department to ensure all the maintenance operations are performed in compliance with the HSSE specifications
• Support in building an organized, technically strong O&M team and system.
• Evaluate the performance of the plant technicians.

Communicate with vendors after alignment with procurement and as per procurement procedures to provide any required items to ensure a smooth operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in engineering, preferably electricity major from a reputable university
• 1-3years experience
• PV Solar experience is a plus
• Solid communication and follow up skills
• Ability to work for long working hours and to travel inside Egypt
