Job Description

Summary

The Land Transport Operations Executive is a pivotal role responsible for the day-to-day execution of land transport orders, ensuring seamless communication between drivers, coordinators, clients, and commercial teams. The primary objective is to execute transport orders efficiently, on time, and in full compliance with company standards, leveraging the Transport Management System (TMS) effectively.

Salary: 6K to 8K AED

Working Hours: 12hrs || 6 days/week

Transport Background

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Execution and Management:

  • Receive and process transport requests and orders from clients and the internal commercial team.
  • Accurately plan and allocate appropriate vehicles and drivers for received orders, considering load size, route, and delivery timelines.
  • Create and manage all necessary documentation (e.g., Waybills, Delivery Orders) for transport movements.
  • Monitor ongoing shipments and proactively address any potential delays or issues.

2. Driver and Coordinator Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the transport driver and logistics coordinator fleet.
  • Provide clear, detailed instructions and necessary information to drivers regarding pickup/delivery locations, routes, and special handling requirements.
  • Track driver performance and ensure adherence to safety, service quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate efficient communication and handover processes between drivers and local/destination coordinators.

3. Transport Management System (TMS) Efficiency:

  • Utilize the TMS as the core tool for all operational activities.
  • Ensure 100% accurate and timely data entry into the TMS for order creation, allocation, tracking updates, and completion status.
  • Generate operational reports from the TMS as required by the management team.

4. Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding the status of their shipments, providing timely updates and managing expectations.
  • Liaise daily with the Commercial/Sales team to confirm order details, capacity, and service requirements.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and administrative teams to ensure vehicle readiness and driver compliance.

5. Issue Resolution:

  • Act as the first point of contact for operational incidents (e.g., breakdowns, accidents, delays).
  • Coordinate a swift response to minimize disruption and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Document all incidents and corrective actions within the TMS and report to management.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Education: Graduate or equivalent. A degree/diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in logistics, transport, or operations role.
  • Technical: Proven ability to learn and efficiently use complex software; excellent working knowledge of a Transport Management System (TMS) is highly desired.
  • Communication: Fluent in English Hindi Urdu). Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively engage with drivers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of local land transport regulations and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with geographical areas/routes relevant to the company's operations.
