Role Description The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site position based at Al Waab Medical Center in Doha, Qatar. This role oversees the daily operations of the medical center, ensuring smooth workflows, efficient patient flow, and adherence to quality and safety standards across all departments. Key responsibilities include coordinating staff schedules, managing operational processes, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Manager collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams on resource allocation, vendor and facilities management, and regulatory compliance. The role also involves resolving operational issues, optimizing patient experience, and supporting strategic projects set by the leadership team.
Qualifications
- Strong healthcare operations management skills, including clinic workflow optimization, patient flow coordination, and resource planning.
- Experience in staff supervision and team leadership, with the ability to coach, delegate, and foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in process improvement, data analysis, and performance monitoring to support quality, safety, and efficiency initiatives.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in medical center administration.
- Proficiency in using healthcare information systems, scheduling tools, and office software (e.g., EMR/EHR, MS Office).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinicians, administrative staff, and external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
- Previous experience in operations or administrative management within a hospital, clinic, or multi-specialty medical center is highly preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, with flexibility to address operational needs and occasional extended hours when required.
