Role Description The Operations Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Alexandria, Egypt. The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day operational activities across engineering and contracting projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include coordinating project teams, supervising site operations, monitoring resource allocation, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency and safety. The role also involves implementing operational policies, tracking performance metrics, resolving operational issues, and collaborating with senior leadership on strategic planning. The Operations Manager will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to maintain clear communication, manage risks, and support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong operations management skills, including process improvement, resource planning, and workflow optimization.
• Experience in project management within construction, engineering, or building systems, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Knowledge of safety standards, quality assurance practices, and regulatory compliance relevant to engineering and construction environments.
• Proficiency in using project management and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, project scheduling software); familiarity with ERP or construction management systems is an advantage.
• Effective leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Relevant experience in operations or project management in engineering, construction, or contracting environments; experience in the local or regional market is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, Egypt, and adapt to dynamic project requirements and timelines.
