The Operations Manager serves as a key leader within the interior design company, responsible for streamlining operations to ensure efficiency, drive profitability, and ensure the successful execution of projects. This role involves close collaboration with the team, clients, and leadership to maintain high-quality standards and align operational processes with the company's strategic objectives, while ensuring the company is profitable and client centric. To be successful in this role you should be a confident, motivational decisive leader, highly skilled communicator, and have a strategic, problem-solving mindset.

Requirements

  • Manage and be responsible for reporting to management for all departments, Design Team, Production, Sales Team, Marketing Team, Admin Team, IT Team and Accounting Team.
  • Lead and support a team of 30+ staff members, fostering productivity, collaboration, and excellence through effective management and deep industry knowledge. Work with HR in the hiring process to maintain the environment and lead a high performing, motivated Design Team that will be communicative, productive and creative, develop performance reporting methods.
  • Maintain and proactively manage all recruitment, including headhunting, HR processes using the in-house company software database with the admin and HR team support.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily and long-term business operations, including checking all regular agreements systems in place, IT and otherwise are maintained to ensure smooth workflows and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and manage operational budgets, P&L statements, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain profitability and cost efficiency.
  • On occasion, oversee the client journey from initial communication through project delivery, ensuring contracts, negotiations, conflict resolution, and deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Manage the implementation and execution of new software's into the company, including training, workshops, ongoing adaptation with the relevant persons.
  • Work with the Sales Team; understanding and assisting with proposals & contractual obligations, ensuring the sales team meet company policies for recording data, managing clients and leads successfully.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to provide assistance with strategic direction, ensure information and office collateral is delivered & dealt with correctly and operational elements managed, including financial, approvals, brand awareness on a local level and overall champion the team to strengthen the company's brand presence.
  • Review, draft, and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational consistency to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure that any contractual obligations both to the company and to outside companies are met, documents reviewed and written or edited.
  • Regularly assess internal processes, suggest improvements, and oversee their successful implementation across departments. Address and resolve challenges across teams, including employee relations, client issues, and financial or operational roadblocks.
  • Plan and supervise all aspects of production, ensuring alignment with company expectations and organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate a well maintained, detail orientated workspace, ensuring standards are met, implementing processes, ensuring communication & efficiency.
  • Lead and implement initiatives to adopt new technologies or methodologies to optimize efficiency.
