Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager based in Dubai to lead the moving and storage operations for a dynamic moving and relocation company. This role oversees day-to-day logistics, ensures client satisfaction, and drives operational excellence in the Moving/relocation industry in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all moving and storage operations (residential, commercial, international) in Dubai and the wider UAE region
  • Manage and optimise the end-to-end relocation workflow: packing, loading, transport, unloading, storage, and delivery
  • Ensure compliance with UAE moving regulations, all logistics, health & safety, customs (for international moves) and storage standards
  • Lead, mentor and develop the operations team including movers, warehouse staff, drivers and supervisors
  • Monitor and improve KPIs such as onetime delivery, damage rates, storage utilisation, cost per move, customer satisfaction
  • Develop and manage budgets, cost controls and vendor/contractor relationships (including subcontractors for packing, transport, storage)
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and business development to ensure seamless moving customers experience from sales through to delivery and storage
  • Oversee storage facility operations: inventory control, climate-control, security, access management and space optimisation
  • Analyse operational data and produce reports for senior management, identifying trends, issues and opportunities
  • Lead and participate in expansion projects, new facility openings, or introduction of new service offerings (e.g., fulfilment, cross-border services)
  • Work closely with the senior leadership to set operational strategy, drive efficiency, adopt technology solutions (TMS/WMS/CRM) and scale the business

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in operations management within the moving/relocation, sector
  • Proven track record in managing moving and storage operations (commercial & household goods) and/or cross-border relocation logistics
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with experience supervising multi-site teams
  • Excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills; able to make data-driven decisions
  • Solid understanding of UAE logistics/customs environment and local regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional customer-focus and problem-solving attitude; ability to manage complex moves and ensure smooth execution
