Our projects extend across **Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC**, and we are looking for an experienced Operations Officer to join our growing team.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations & Production Engineer to join our FF&E team and take responsibility for the smooth execution of locally manufactured furniture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local furniture manufacturing, excellent supplier and workshop management skills, and the ability to follow a piece from shop drawing and material selection through production, quality inspection, and final delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can work closely with suppliers and workshops, solve production issues, maintain quality standards, and make sure projects are delivered on time and according to specifications.
Production & Operations
- Manage and follow up on the production of locally manufactured furniture.
- Coordinate with furniture factories, workshops, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Follow up on production schedules and ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor multiple furniture orders and production stages simultaneously.
- Identify production delays and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate between the design, procurement, project management, and production teams.
- Ensure that approved drawings, specifications, samples, and finishes are correctly implemented.
Quality Control
- Inspect furniture during different stages of production.
- Ensure products comply with approved drawings, specifications, dimensions, materials, finishes, and quality standards.
- Inspect prototypes and first samples before mass production.
- Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
- Conduct final inspections before delivery.
- Ensure that rejected items are properly rectified before reaching the project site.
Technical Coordination
- Review and understand furniture shop drawings and technical details.
- Coordinate technical issues between designers and manufacturers.
- Advise the team on manufacturability, materials, construction methods, and suitable local alternatives.
- Identify potential production problems before manufacturing starts.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in furniture manufacturing, FF&E, fit-out, interior contracting, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of local furniture manufacturing in Egypt.
- Good understanding of:
- Wood and carpentry
- MDF / plywood / veneer
- Lacquer and paint finishes
- Upholstery
- Metal works
- Hardware and fittings
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good command of English.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel frequently to local workshops and suppliers.
