Position Overview

We are seeking an Operations professional to support the fund management operations of our clients regulated asset management entity based in the DIFC. This role is central to maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will work across a range of investment structures, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and other alternative investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role involves managing onboarding processes for fund managers, counterparties, and service providers, including conducting background checks, fitness and propriety assessments, risk evaluations, and ensuring completion of KYC and regulatory documentation. Ongoing monitoring aligned with established risk ratings will also be required.
  • The candidate will review fund prospectuses and related documentation, oversee fund incorporations, and maintain accurate records within the CRM system. Daily operational oversight will include ensuring adherence to fund documentation and regulatory requirements, coordinating with portfolio managers, administrators, custodians, brokers, and investors to address queries, monitor service levels, and ensure accurate reporting and reconciliations.
  • Additional responsibilities include reviewing fund factsheets and marketing materials for accuracy and compliance, maintaining operational documentation, and supporting regulatory filings, audits, and compliance reviews. The role also requires monitoring operational risks, enhancing internal controls, and resolving issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will prepare quarterly, semi-annual, and annual regulatory reports, manage fund audits with external auditors, oversee monthly invoicing for management fees, and prepare reports for hosted managers and board meetings. Close collaboration with London and India teams, along with involvement in ad hoc projects, will be essential to supporting the firm's operational and risk oversight framework.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline; Professional Certifications such as ACCA, CPA or CFA preferred
  • 5 - 7+ years experience in hedge fund or trading-focused fund operations; preferably with a focus alternative investment vehicles
  • Strong exposure to daily dealing funds and NAV oversight.
  • Familiarity with prime brokerage, margining, and derivatives.
  • Experience operating in high-velocity, time-critical environments.
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC checks
  • Knowledge of Market Data Vendors ie: Bloomberg, Reuters etc.
  • Experience of operating in a regulatory environment (DFSA) and (DIFC) experience
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and priorities
