Job Description

(Fuel Farm Operations Supervisor / Shift Supervisor)

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating all day-to-day operational activities at the fuel farm and hydrant system during an assigned shift. This role acts as the primary on-shift authority, ensuring that all fuel receipt, storage, transfer, and hydrant distribution activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with the approved operating procedures and applicable standards.

Key duties include issuing daily work orders to fuel farm operators and technicians, conducting pre-shift briefings and safety talks, monitoring fuel inventory levels, overseeing the receipt of fuel deliveries via pipeline or road tanker, and coordinating with Into-Plane Operators (ITPs) regarding hydrant system availability and any planned or unplanned outages. The Operations Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that all shift documentation, operational logs, and fuel transaction records are completed accurately and on time.

In the event of a service interruption, fuel quality incident, or emergency, the Operations Supervisor assumes immediate command of the on-site response until the Fuel Farm Manager is notified and takes over. This role requires 24/7 availability on a rotating shift basis to support continuous airport operations.

Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a technical or operational discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation fuel operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Thorough knowledge of JIG standards, ATA Spec. 103, and airport safety regulations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
