Operator Central O&M Water / Pumping Stations & Wells

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control equipment and systems associated with water treatment and distribution.
• Monitor plant and pumping-station equipment through control panels, computer systems and instrumentation.
• Monitor operating parameters including pressure, flow, temperature, voltage and current.
• Perform equipment start-up and shutdown activities in line with SOPs.
• Respond to alarms, equipment failures, water-quality issues and emergency situations.
• Maintain operational stability and continuity of water supply.
• Maintain accurate operational, maintenance and water-quality records.
• Report operational status, abnormalities and equipment issues to supervisors.
• Monitor water-quality results and support adjustments to treatment processes where required.
• Ensure compliance with operational, HSE and safety procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma / Higher Diploma in a relevant technical field.
• Up to approximately 4 years of experience; water-treatment operations or a related field is preferred.
• Experience operating pumps, treatment systems, distribution equipment or utility assets.
• Exposure to control-room monitoring / control systems.
• Understanding of SOPs and emergency-response procedures.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
