About the Job:

• Drive and operate various sizes of cranes and forklifts at assigned location to assist Operations and Maintenance personnel in the lifting, transportation and replacement of heavy equipment, pipes valves and other machinery in line with the safety regulations.

Job Specific Accountabilities

u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Operate the forklift and crane within their limits to lift and transport a wide variety of materials and pipes at the assigned location. Manipulate heavy parts into a suitable position before attempting to lift using forklift.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Check loads are within crane capacity and carry out operations smoothly and in accordance with safety and operational procedures.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Carry out routine preventive maintenance and repair on cranes and associated equipment. Report any mechanical problems or malfunctions.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Undertake the lifting of materials in such a way as to avoid any type of damage to the materials.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Inspect and maintain the crane regularly as prescribed by both the company and manufacturer.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Check that the site is adequately prepared for the crane.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Check the load chart to ensure that the crane has sufficient net lifting capacity for every lift.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Follow the manufacturer's operating instructions in accordance with the load chart.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Consider all factors that might reduce crane lift capacity and adjusts the load weight to suit. This includes such factors as weather conditions and ground conditions.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Maintain communication with signal persons.
u2022u00A0u00A0 u00A0Perform other similar or related duties, as assigned. Includes observing traffic regulations and mandatory safety codes, obtaining work permits to enter prohibited areas, ensuring that registration and insurance papers are kept valid at all time, maintaining a stock of required consumable materials, ensuring that work areas are left in a clean and hazard-free condition, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of Primary Education.
• 4 years of experience

Professional Certification

u00A0

• Valid UAE heavy duty driving license.
