Job Description
Job Purpose
Control and carry out operations at the Depot to Load, receive, store and transfer petroleum products in a safe
and dependable manner. Operates associate pump and pipe systems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Fuelling Operations
u2022 Carry out quality checks on the tanks and pumps whenever required and complete all necessary
records at the Depot.
u2022 Check system fuel levels in each tank and carry out the physical dip, specific gravity and temperature.
u2022 Monitor storage tank dips, carrying out physical dips measures to ensure regular fuel level checks and
compare the results against the tank gauging system, and completing floating suction checks,
conductivity checks and routine serviceability checks on the tanks.
u2022 Take samples from filters, tanks, pipelines and other equipment in the depot and shelters as per
company procedures and guidelines.
u2022 Receive products by Vessels/road tanker and unload into storage tanks as per company procedures.
u2022 Perform Vessel loading operation and ensure all relevant procedures are followed throughout the
operations
u2022 Clean and maintain all sampling equipment including buckets, bottles, close-sampling systems, etc.
u2022 Report to Depot Supervisor of any expected dangers or hazards, immediately.
u2022 Monitor all filter, pressure and temperature gauges and report immediately on any defects.
u2022 Prepare and maintain documentation of all activities and enter data into necessary records/systems.
u2022 Carry other related duties as and when assigned by the Supervisor
HSE
u2022 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability
guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
u2022 Perform the job safely in line with HSE procedures
u2022 Ensure full compliance to PPE and other safety regulations
Job Specific Accountabilities
u2022 Reports all Incidents and Near Misses, immediately to the supervisor
u2022 Follows Company Emergency Procedures and participates in Emergency drills accordingly.
u2022 Participates in safety talks/Meetings.
u2022 Participate in HSE campaigns, training courses, awareness sessions and initiatives deployment to
ensure meeting the objectives.
HSE - fire-fighting Operations
u2022 Carry out regular and surprise rounds of critical areas of operation as well as facilities to ensure that
fire equipment are in workable conditions at all times and stop/ report unsafe precedents.
u2022 Inspect, clean and test fire-fighting apparatus, tools and equipment, including hose and hose fittings,
hydrants, ladders and hand extinguishers to ensure all firefighting equipment are in good condition
and ready to be used when required.
u2022 Respond to fire or accident alarms from the plants control rooms, determine the approach to fireu2019s
location, make the necessary hose connections to fixed fire hydrants, and start firefighting using
appropriate fighting tools according to the source of fire.
u2022 Participate in taking emergency actions dictated by the situation to ensure quick and immediate
response to the emergency.
u2022 Monitor screens & alarm systems in firefighting control room and communicate emergencies as per
ADNOC Distributionu2019s Procedure.
Minimum Qualification
Secondary / High School Certificate
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
3 years of experience as a Depot Operator
