Description:
The Operator is responsible for completing and monitoring all required tasks as directed by the Lead Operator, working as part of a team, and ensuring both themselves and the team are following the appropriate procedures and processes in place. The Operator will assist in the day-to-day running of the process under the direction of the Lead Operator performing the required task which is assigned to them.
Key responsibilities included (but aren't limited to):
• Ensure company policies, procedures and operating instructions are followed.
• Comply with all safety instructions, promote individual and team safety.
• Promote and maintain Quality standards.
• Identify and report all Safety concerns, Quality issues and manufacturing problems before progressing with any work.
• Reporting directly to the Lead Operator assisting in the set up and operation of equipment and machines.
• Under the direction of the Lead Operator, operates the extrusion machines including the Base production Line as well as the Cover Production Line.
• Under the direction of the Lead Operator, operates the reinforcement machines including Tape Line 1 and Tape Line 2.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and ensure 5S is implemented and sustained, including material storage areas.
• Perform all required tasks in accordance with work instructions, risk assessment and company safety policies.
• Complete required documentation records, as required in accordance with procedures.
• Assist Lead Operator in analyzing and resolving online problems.
• Implementation of TPM plans on extrusion and tape lines.
• Liaise with Lead Operator and Quality Control on minor quality issues.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards to promote a healthier and safer workplace.
• Perform all duties while observing safety rules, work instructions and procedures including specific attention to manual handling techniques.
Skills/Knowledge:
• A background in pipe extrusion or previous experience extrusion machines environment would be preferred.
• Knowledge of extrusion equipment processes preferred.
• Proven track record in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment or the equivalent.
• Combination of education and experience.
• Experience in using hand tools.
• Ability to write routine reports and fill in production reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

• Have ability to identify improvements within work area.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, manufacturing work orders, operating instructions, and machine manuals.
• Working knowledge of Windows software, electronic communication, and electronic presentation software.
Required Qualifications:
• Technical college diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an extrusion / plastic institute.
• A minimum of 3 years in manufacturing or industrial environment (for experienced hire)
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
