Position Summary

Operator - Secondary Packing

LOCATION

Dubai

REPORTING To: Executive - Tablet & Liquid Packing

ROLE CONTEXT & PURPOSE

As part of a greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing setup, the Operator - Secondary Packing plays a crucial role in handling the Secondary Packing of OSD and Liquid Formulations while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for operating and maintaining Secondary packing machines, monitoring packing parameters, and ensuring product quality during the packing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor Secondary packing line as per SOPs.
  • Perform batch packing and labelling as per batch manufacturing records (BMR).
  • Monitor temperature, pressure to ensure compliance with formulation standards.
  • Maintain batch records, logbooks, and process documentation as per regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure product consistency and uniformity.
  • Work closely with QA, QC, and engineering teams to resolve production issues and deviations.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of Secondary packing machines and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental health & safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Identify and report any deviations, defects, or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
  • Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize the packing process to enhance efficiency and reduce wastage.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

EXPERIENCE + EXPOSURE + EDUCATION

  • Education: High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in packing operations in a pharmaceutical or FMCG industry.

Key Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Secondary Packing (Track n Trace, Cartonator & Checkweigher).
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance in liquid formulation.
  • Familiarity with sterile and non-sterile packing processes.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for packing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
