Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using Oracle APEX. The Oracle APEX Developer manages the full development lifecycle—from database schema design and PL/SQL backend logic to building intuitive and responsive user interfaces using APEX Universal Theme.
The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise applications while ensuring performance optimization, system integration, and user satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities :
Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using Oracle APEX
Develop complex SQL queries and backend logic using PL / SQL (packages, procedures, functions, triggers)
Customize and enhance user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
Build and consume RESTful APIs using ORDS (Oracle Rest Data Services) for system integrations
Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms
Ensure applications are protected against SQL injections, XSS, and other vulnerabilities
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in existing systems
Provide technical support and enhancements based on user feedback
Optimize application performance and ensure database efficiency
Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years major APEX projects from start to finish.
Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications .
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Business Analysts or departments heads)
Oracle APEX Cloud Developer Professional or Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate
Experience with Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite) or Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Preferred
Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines for APEX) is a Plus
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks or Oracle JET
