Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in OCI services, automation, networking, security, and performance optimization. He will play a critical role in the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure resources including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
- Administer OCI services such as Virtual Cloud Networks (VCN), Load Balancers, IAM, Object Storage, and Autonomous Databases.
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or Resource Manager.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across all OCI resources.
- Set up and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies using OCI-native tools.
- Configure and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies for secure resource access.
- Assist in cloud cost optimization and governance.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot issues and work with Oracle Support as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation and SOPs related to OCI management.
- Collaborate with development, security, and DevOps teams to support cloud-native application deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- OCI certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate, Architect Associate, or higher) strongly preferred.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with OCI CLI, APIs, and console.
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, etc.).
- Knowledge of database technologies, especially Oracle DB and Autonomous Databases on OCI.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (OCI Monitoring, Logging, or third-party tools).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skill in windows and Linux.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
