Oracle Fusion SCM Functional Lead
Experience: 8-10 years | Location: Onsite, Dubai / Abu Dhabi (customer location) | Positions: 2
Functional lead for Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM (Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Management, Inventory, and Cost Management) at an enterprise UAE client, owning requirement workshops through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support, and coordinating an offshore team.
Lead-level requirements (mandatory)
• 8-10 years of Oracle SCM experience with hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM configuration.
• Led at least 3 end-to-end Oracle Fusion SCM implementations, from running user workshops through deployment - evidenced at project level with client, scope, and go-live.
• Experience working directly with end users and coordinating an offshore team for design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Strong functional expertise, evidenced at project level, in Procurement, Self Service Procurement, Procurement Contracts, Sourcing, Supplier Portal, Supplier Qualification, Inventory Management, and Cost Management.
Key responsibilities
• Lead requirement gathering workshops with SCM stakeholders to understand current business processes and pain points.
• Configure and set up Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM modules including Procurement, Self Service Procurement, Procurement Contracts, Sourcing, Supplier Portal, Supplier Qualification, Inventory Management, and Cost Management.
• Lead functional design of month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes for SCM - receipt accounting, cost management, and inventory period close.
• Prepare BR100 configuration documents, functional test scripts, and training materials.
• Collaborate effectively with technical teams on reporting, integration, and data conversion requirements.
• Prepare and review functional design documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks (BR100s), and test scripts (test cases, SIT/UAT scenarios).
• Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements for reports (BIP/OTBI), data conversions (FBDI), and integrations relevant to SCM processes.
• Conduct CRP (Conference Room Pilot) sessions, functional testing, and UAT support with business users.
• Troubleshoot functional issues related to requisition and purchase order approvals, supplier registration and qualification, sourcing events, receiving, inventory transactions, costing and receipt accounting, and period close.
• Provide functional guidance on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) integration points.
• Assess impact of Oracle's quarterly updates on existing SCM configurations and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live production support for SCM modules.
• Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and Oracle Support for SCM-related SRs and enhancement requests.
Working knowledge expected
• Procurement configuration depth: procurement business units and agents, requisition and PO approval rules, document styles, supplier registration and qualification setup, negotiation templates, Procurement Contracts with e-signature.
• Inventory and costing: inventory organizations, sub-inventories and locators, cost methods and cost organizations, receipt accounting, and the P2P touchpoints into Payables and Cash Management.
• Supplier Portal onboarding and supplier self-service transaction flows, including the support load they generate after go-live.
• UAE public-sector and large-enterprise procurement context: local supplier onboarding rules and in-country value requirements where applicable.
• Oracle Fusion quarterly release cycle and Redwood UX transition: impact assessment and regression testing of Procurement and Inventory flows.
• Lead behaviours: workshop facilitation and fit-gap ownership, decision logs signed off by process owners, and a working cadence with offshore developers.
Preferred
• Experience with Order Management, Manufacturing, or Maintenance modules.
• Exposure to Fusion Financials integration points (AP, GL) from the SCM side.
• Oracle Cloud certifications (Fusion Procurement, Inventory).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems.
