Job Description

Job Purpose: The Oracle EBS HCM Lead is responsible for leading, supporting, and optimizing Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management (HCM) modules across the organization. The role ensures system stability, functional excellence, compliance with HR policies, and alignment with business and HR transformation objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Functional Leadership

  • Act as the functional lead for Oracle EBS HCM modules, including:
  • Core HR
  • Payroll
  • OTL (Oracle Time & Labor)
  • OAB (Oracle Advanced Benefits)
  • SSHR / iRecruitment (if applicable)
  • Translate HR business requirements into functional specifications and system configurations.
  • Lead end-to-end HCM implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and enhancements.

System Configuration & Support

  • Configure and maintain HCM modules, flexfields, workflows, approvals, and reports.
  • Manage payroll configurations, statutory rules, earnings, deductions, and compliance.
  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with Oracle technical teams on interfaces, reports, and customizations.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to ensure system alignment.
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and Oracle support engagements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Oracle HCM-related initiatives.

Data, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality across HR systems.
  • Manage user roles, responsibilities, and access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, payroll regulations, and internal HR policies.

Testing, Documentation & Training

  • Lead UAT planning, execution, and sign-off for HCM changes.
  • Prepare functional documentation, SOPs, and user manuals.
  • Conduct user training and knowledge transfer to HR and payroll teams.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to optimize HR processes through system enhancements.
  • Support HR digital transformation initiatives and integration with other systems (ATS, ERP, BI tools).
  • Stay current with Oracle EBS HCM best practices and roadmap updates.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 710 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS HCM.
  • Proven experience as an HCM Lead or Senior Functional Consultant.
  • Experience in multi-country or large enterprise environments preferred.

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Deep functional knowledge of Oracle EBS HCM modules.
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll business processes.
  • Experience with AIM/OUM methodology and full project lifecycle.
  • Ability to write functional specifications and support technical development.
  • Exposure to integrations, data migration, and reporting tools (BI Publisher)
