General Description/Purpose:
Responsible for managing Oracle and Linux systems, ensuring optimum performance, security, availability, and reliability, and providing technical support to business users.
Essential Duties (Major responsibilities of this position):
- Maintain and upgrade our Oracle database and Linux infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle software and related products
- Monitor database performance and recommend adjustments for optimum performance
- Maintain security protocols and ensure data integrity
- Develop backup and recovery plans
- Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to resolve database issues
- Monitor database performance and provide tuning recommendations to optimize query performance and overall system efficiency
- Stay updated with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux server issues, including hardware, software, and network-related problems
- Maintain system documentation, including configuration details, standard procedures, troubleshooting guides, and inventory records
- Perform database migrations and upgrades as required
- Stay updated with the latest database technologies, linux, trends, and best practices to recommend and implement improvements

Minimum Requirements/Experience (What is required to perform the essential duties):
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle database and Linux system administration
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking, and scripting
- Work in JAVA EE server (weblogic,jboss-eap,tomcat... )
- Work in Linux, oracle, red hat softwares
- Work knowledge in oracle OBI,OAS
- Work with docker / podman Containers
- Knowledgeable in Oracle RAC db , single instance
- Can troubleshoot java jvm, api applications (REST API, SOAP, POSTMAN)
- Can troubleshoot network traffic flow ( waf,reverse proxy,load balancer)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Oracle and Linux certifications are preferred
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree from a reputed university.
