We are seeking a dedicated Orthoptist to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about assessing and managing eye movement disorders, binocular vision conditions, and pediatric vision care within a multidisciplinary ophthalmology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive orthoptic assessments, including ocular motility and binocular vision evaluations.
Perform visual function testing and support the diagnosis of eye movement and visual coordination disorders.
Assess and manage patients with conditions such as strabismus (squint), amblyopia (lazy eye), diplopia (double vision), nystagmus, and convergence insufficiency.
Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation programs.
Support pediatric ophthalmology services and assist with vision assessments for children and patients with special needs.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, vision therapy, and home-based exercises.
Collaborate with ophthalmologists in patient management, including pre- and post-procedure assessments.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure high standards of patient care.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Orthoptics or a related specialty.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for Bachelor's Degree holders or 5 years for Diploma holders.
Experience working within ophthalmology clinics, eye hospitals, or specialist vision care centers.
Strong knowledge of binocular vision disorders, pediatric eye care, and ocular motility assessment.
Hands-on experience with orthoptic diagnostic equipment and vision assessment techniques
Experience in pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, or strabismus services.
Previous hospital-based experience.
International healthcare experience is highly regarded.
