A Leading Construction Company Is Seeking Qualified Candidates For The Following Position To Work On Water And Wastewater Projects In Kuwait
Automation Engineer
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation systems, preferably in water and wastewater projects.
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support the design, implementation, programming, and commissioning of automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems, control system integration, and site activities, along with solid documentation and troubleshooting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities & Expertise
- Automation Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in automation systems, preferably within water and wastewater treatment projects.
- PLC, SCADA & DCS Systems: Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and HMI development.
- Control System Integration: Experience in integrating field instruments, control panels, PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial communication networks.
- Control Philosophy & Documentation: Ability to develop and interpret control philosophies, functional descriptions, I/O lists, cause & effect matrices, and automation documentation.
- Programming & Configuration: Hands-on experience in PLC and DCS logic development, SCADA configuration, alarm management, and system testing.
- Panels & Site Activities: Knowledge of control panel design, FAT/SAT activities, and site installation practices.
- Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Experience in system commissioning, loop testing, troubleshooting automation and DCS-related issues, and supporting startup activities.
- Standards & Best Practices: Familiarity with international automation standards, safety practices, and project specifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma in Automation, Electrical, Control, or related engineering field.
- Experience with leading PLC / SCADA / DCS platforms (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Emerson, Honeywell).
- Strong communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills.
