The Role

As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other structures. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.

As a member of the Engineering department, this role is responsible for ensuring that all the engineering and maintenance activities of the hotel are conducted to the highest professional standards at all times, with guest comfort and safety being the highest priority.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Painting & Surface Preparation

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and applying primers.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and finishes to achieve the desired look.
• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure a smooth and even application with attention to detail.

Maintenance & Repair Work

• Inspect walls, ceilings, and furniture for cracks, peeling, or other damage.
• Repair drywall, plaster, or wood surfaces before painting.
• Perform touch-ups and refinishing as needed.
• Work with other maintenance staff to coordinate painting schedules.

Safety & Quality Standards

• Follow safety procedures when handling paints, thinners, and other chemicals.
• Ensure proper ventilation and protective measures when using spray equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Adhere to company standards for quality, aesthetics, and durability.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with engineers, decorators, and facility managers to plan projects.
• Provide recommendations on paint colors, finishes, and textures if needed.
• Ensure minimal disruption to guests, residents, or employees during painting projects.
