About the Role:
A confidential employer based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Palm Tree Expert (Date Palm Specialist) to oversee and manage date palm cultivation and maintenance at a farm located in the Liwa region. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the health, productivity, and sustainable management of the palm plantation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the health of date palm trees.
- Identify, diagnose, and treat pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Supervise pruning, pollination, harvesting, and other palm care activities.
- Develop and implement irrigation and fertilization programs.
- Conduct regular field inspections and provide technical recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with agricultural best practices and safety standards.
- Train and supervise farm workers on proper date palm management techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience in date palm cultivation and farm management.
- Strong knowledge of date palm pests, diseases, and treatment methods.
- Experience with irrigation systems and fertilization programs.
- Ability to lead and supervise agricultural teams.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
- Good command of English. Arabic is an advantage.
