About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Quality Control Engineer to own the quality of our iOS app. You'll be responsible for thoroughly testing new features, catching bugs before they reach our users, and ensuring a smooth, polished experience across every release. This is a hands-on role where your feedback directly shapes the product.
What You'll Do
- Test new features, bug fixes, and UI changes on the iOS app before each release
- Write and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios
- Log detailed, reproducible bug reports with clear steps, screenshots, and screen recordings
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing across multiple iOS devices and OS versions
- Collaborate closely with the development team to clarify requirements and prioritize issues
- Test API integrations, push notifications, in-app purchases, and social features
- Monitor app performance, crash reports, and user-facing issues post-release
- Contribute to improving our QA processes and testing coverage over time
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in mobile QA, with a strong focus on iOS
- Solid understanding of iOS platform behavior, gestures, and Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, ClickUp, or similar)
- Familiarity with TestFlight and the iOS beta distribution workflow
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering a flawless user experience
- Excellent written communication skills for clear bug reporting
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own time effectively in a part-time, remote setting
- Available for 30 hours per week with some overlap during team working hours
Nice to Have
- Experience testing social networking or content-driven apps
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, Pulse, ProxyMan)
- Basic understanding of automation frameworks (XCUITest, Appium)
- Experience with performance and network-condition testing on mobile
