We are an engineering firm that specializes in providing elegant engineering solutions for complex challenges. e.construct is a fast-growing firm with 7 offices around the world. At our core, we question how the very nature of how evolving the structures we inhabit can increase their performance and value.
We design structures such as bridges and high-rises using precast concrete and post-tensioning. The firm's core work is structural engineering; however, e.construct is increasingly holistic at its approach to buildings and it has divisions in MEP, geotechnical and emerging construction technologies such as 3D printing of concrete, 3D laser scanning, and machine learning technology.

Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, creative, and detail-oriented
Data Researcher to join our growing team. You are a strong candidate if you have the talent to effectively translate and communicate research findings into compelling written and visual narratives.
Primary Responsibilities as Partnerships Associate:
- Project Proposal Pipeline Maintenance:
- Take ownership of the company's project proposal dataset, tracking incoming proposals and related action items
- Build a recurring and consistent communication system with Project Managers (PMs) to review project progress
- Collate insights on the proposals by tracking and analyzing key metrics, such as success rates, repeat clients, reasons for project wins or losses
- Project Summaries and Documentation:
- Prepare project summaries in coordination with PMs following the company's existing templates and guidelines
- Support Partnerships Manager in the organization and documentation of all project summaries
- Client Proposals and Contractual Documents:
- Collaborate with PMs to develop project proposals and client reports using the company's standard templates
- Maintain a categorized database of proposals and client reports
- Client Prequalification Management:
- Identifying organizations and clients for potential prequalification opportunities
- Coordinating with assistants to collect, organize, and prepare required documents for submission and follow up on the status of ongoing prequalification processes
- Market and Ecosystem Research
- Conduct ongoing research on competitors and help identify partnership opportunities aligned with the company's goals
- Monitor industry trends, conferences, and award programs relevant to the scope of work conducted by the company
- Support the identification of funding opportunities for our startup including: relevant venture capitalists, investor, incubator and accelerator programs
- Provide biweekly updates on findings and recommendations to the leadership team
Secondary Responsibilities as Data Researcher:
- Perform in-depth, data-driven research into topics at the intersection of technology, engineering, and sustainability
- Build comprehensive datasets (such as academic literature reviews) to support research team
- Analyze data and interpret results to generate research findings
- Write clear, concise documentation of data collection and analysis methodologies
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and writers to translate findings into:
- Data visualizations (infographics, dashboards, hierarchical diagrams, etc.)
- Written outputs (white papers, blog posts, internal reports, and presentations)
- Understand the startup's objective and pitch ideas that align with its growth; including marketing and media opportunities
- Explore grant and investment opportunities from organizations funding sustainable construction technology
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil engineering, information science, or related field
- Proven experience in data research, analysis, and hypothesis development (including academic and market research)
- Proficiency in handling and analyzing large datasets using efficient processing techniques
- Knowledge of qualitative research methods and analysis (thematic analysis, interviews, case study analysis, narrative research)
- Detail and output-oriented mindset
- Experience working with remote teams
