Job Description
Drive Operational Excellence Across the Volkswagen Group Middle East Supply Chain
Volkswagen Group Middle East is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Parts Logistics Manager to lead the operational performance of our Parts Distribution Centre and regional logistics network within the Group Aftersales Division. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant logistics operations while delivering exceptional service to our dealer network and internal stakeholders.
The successful candidate will oversee warehouse, freight, transport, customs, inventory and supply chain activities while managing key third-party logistics (3PL) partners and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Operations & Supply Chain Management
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the VWGME Parts Distribution Centre and logistics service providers.
- Oversee all aspects of the parts and logistics supply chain, including warehousing, inventory control, freight, transportation, customs, import/export processes, dealer support, and order optimization.
- Ensure service providers meet contractual obligations, service levels, and key performance indicators.
- Monitor and manage logistics operating budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and effective resource utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Planning & Development
- Contribute to the development and implementation of logistics strategies, policies, processes, and best practices.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Develop, monitor, and report logistics KPIs in alignment with Volkswagen AG and VWGME requirements.
- Provide expert logistics guidance and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
Contract & Supplier Management
- Lead negotiations, renewals, and tender processes for warehouse, freight, transport, and logistics service contracts.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transportation partners.
- Negotiate rates, service agreements, and performance expectations to ensure optimum value and service delivery.
- Conduct regular operational reviews with service providers and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Compliance, Quality & Governance
- Ensure compliance with transportation, customs, trade, and regulatory requirements across the GCC region.
- Maintain adherence to Volkswagen AG logistics standards and ISO requirements.
- Liaise with customs authorities, chambers of commerce, and regulatory bodies to stay informed of changing requirements.
- Support product compliance and governance requirements within the logistics function.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, business administration or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing complex logistics and supply chain operations within the automotive, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, transportation, customs regulations, import/export processes, and inventory management.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and large-scale service contracts.
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Knowledge of GCC logistics regulations and automotive parts distribution operations is highly desirable.
