Patent Attorney / Patent Specialist

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Patent Attorney or Patent Specialist to join our office on a full-time basis.

This is an opportunity for a motivated patent professional to work alongside like-minded lawyers and professionals in a friendly and supportive working environment while advancing your career.

What You Will Do

You will work closely with clients across a range of industries:-

·        Handling all aspects of the patent prosecution process;

·        Filing and prosecuting patent applications in Singapore, Asia and abroad;

·        Conducting prior art/freedom to operate searches;

·        Liaising with inventors and corporate clients;

·        Portfolio strategy; and

·        Broader intellectual property matters.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience 

·        A recognised university degree in a scientific, technical, engineering, technology or other relevant discipline, or equivalent technical experience.

·        Registered Singapore Patent Attorney, or Patent Agent Successful completion of the Patent Agents Qualifying Examinations (Papers A–D).

·        Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in patent prosecution and advisory work.

·        Prior experience gained in a law firm, patent practice, in-house IP team and/or patent office.

·        A good team player with a positive attitude is essential.

·        Excellent organisation and communication skills with strong command of English. 

·        Commercial awareness with an interest in business development.
