Digital Payments Specialist to lead the design, development, and launch of a next-generation digital wallet platform. This role will oversee the full project lifecyclefrom strategy to operational readinessensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will combine deep fintech knowledge with hands-on delivery experience, helping transform a loyalty-based platform into a fully embedded financial services ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive project plan aligned with strategic objectives and delivery timelines.
- Lead cross-functional execution across IT, finance, marketing, marketplace, and customer support teams.
- Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and managing expectations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while ensuring adherence to all regulatory and operational requirements.
- Ensure the digital wallet platform is fully operational, scalable, and compliant at project handover.
Finance Operations & Controls
- Oversee cashback workflows, wallet liability tracking, reconciliation processes, and monthly reporting to ensure financial accuracy and audit readiness.
Marketplace & Merchant Monetization
- Drive merchant onboarding and the rollout of monetization models, including segmentation, billing, and subscription strategies.
Growth Marketing Execution
- Coordinate with marketing teams to execute launch campaigns, manage brand assets, and activate influencer initiatives to drive user acquisition.
Customer Success & Support Readiness
- Prepare support teams with tested SOPs, escalation flows, and user/merchant support journeys for launch.
IT Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Supervise integration of SDKs and ensure compliance with fintech regulations, including audit documentation readiness.
Data Infrastructure & Analytics
- Guide data teams in defining schemas, building dashboards, and ensuring data readiness for performance monitoring and reporting.
Product-Led Growth & Optimization
- Track key product metrics, iterate on features and user flows, and drive activation, retention, and merchant impact.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Percentage of merchants successfully onboarded and monetized.
- User acquisition, activation, and engagement metrics post-launch.
- Operational readiness, including reconciliation accuracy and support SLA adherence.
Required Experience & Knowledge
- 10+ years of experience in fintech, digital payments, or banking project delivery.
- Experience with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), card programs, or mobile wallet launches is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of digital payments, card systems, and embedded finance.
- Familiarity with local fintech regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on project management experience (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Proficiency with BI tools, data modeling, and KPI tracking.
Mandatory Skills
