Job Description

We're looking for a Payroll Business Partner to help modernize and automate payroll operations across multiple business units. This role will drive payroll process improvement, system automation, integration, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smoother employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll automation initiatives (moving from hybrid/manual to automated workflows)
  • Review and redesign payroll processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control
  • Manage payroll transformation projects end-to-end (timelines, stakeholders, vendors)
  • Support system integration with HRIS/Finance tools and oversee data migration
  • Lead testing phases (including UAT), go-live readiness, and post-launch optimization
  • Build payroll dashboards and reports (cost, variance, forecasting insights)
  • Support audits, year-end activities, off-cycle payroll, and EOS calculations
  • Train/support payroll and HR teams during transition and adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years payroll experience, ideally with automation/process improvement exposure
  • Strong payroll systems knowledge (e.g., Dynamics 365, ADP, Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks or similar)
  • Project management capability + strong stakeholder communication
  • High attention to detail, data mindset, and compliance awareness
  • CPP or similar certification is a plus
