Job Purpose:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring full compliance with UAE labour law, tax regulations, and internal policies. The role will work closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to deliver a high-quality payroll service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll end-to-end, including salaries, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, WPS, EOSB calculations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and resolve payroll-related queries.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding payroll processes (new hires, terminations, final settlements).
- Liaise with Finance on payroll journals, reconciliations, and audits.
- Coordinate with external payroll vendors and banks where applicable.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and regulatory purposes.
Key Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in payroll, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of UAE payroll practices, WPS, EOSB, and labour law.
- High attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience working with payroll systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
