We are hiring a Payroll accountant for a leading outsourcing company located in Maadi.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Commerce or any related field.
Excellent in English is a must.
Excellent in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel.
From 2 to 3 years of experience in payroll is a must
* Prefers to reside in Maadi, Helwan, or nearby areas
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll on schedule monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain employee payroll records (pay rates, schedules, deductions, benefits, tax details).
- Calculate and verify earnings and adjustments (overtime, bonuses, commissions, allowances, retro pay).
- Handle statutory filings and payroll-related compliance tasks (e.g., payroll taxes, social contributions), in line with local regulations.
- Process employee deductions, including benefits, garnishments, retirement contributions, union dues, and wage assignments.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance on employee changes (new hires, terminations, job/grade changes, pay rate changes).
- Manage payroll reports and audits; respond to internal and external audit requests.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain controls to prevent errors and fraud (approvals, checklists, access controls, documentation).
- Ensure timely payment of employees and that payment files (bank transfers/checks) are sent and confirmed.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and company payroll policies; recommend improvements to reduce errors.
- Document procedures and support payroll system updates, including testing for new/changed payroll setups.
