Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll while maintaining compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Supports payroll operations by managing employee data, handling payroll queries, preparing reports, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient payroll cycles.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process monthly payroll for employees across multiple locations, including salaries, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and tax withholdings.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies during payroll execution.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records and employee compensation data in payroll systems.
- Assist in preparing and submitting payroll tax filings, social insurance reports, and statutory declarations.
- Reconcile payroll data with HR, Finance, and accounting records to ensure accuracy.
- Support audits and compliance checks related to payroll processes.
- Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies by coordinating with HR and Finance.
- Generate standard payroll reports and provide variance analysis when needed.
- Support the automation of payroll workflows and the secure distribution of pay slips.
- Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions from employees.
- Educate employees on salary structures, deductions, and benefits as required.
- Stay updated on relevant employment tax laws, labor regulations, and payroll best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
- Good understanding of employment laws, tax regulations, and payroll reporting.
- Ability to process payroll accurately under strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets; Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and integration with HR platforms.
- Experience in fintech or banking payroll operations is a plus.
