Performance Marketing Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Department: Consumer Division
Reports To: Senior Ecommerce Manager
Job purpose
We are looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to own the strategy and performance of paid acquisition for our DTC website. Day to day execution is managed through our external media agency, so this is primarily a strategic and coordination focused role. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on execution experience, giving them the judgment to evaluate agency work critically, but their core responsibility going forward is to set direction, manage the agency relationship, coordinate assets with our global marketing team, and be accountable for the results the agency delivers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Own the paid media strategy and quarterly and monthly planning across Meta, Google, and other relevant channels
- Set budget allocation, channel mix, and performance targets (CAC, ROAS, MER) in partnership with leadership
- Translate business goals such as revenue targets, new launches, and seasonal campaigns into a clear brief and roadmap for the agency
Agency Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the performance marketing agency, setting expectations and holding them accountable to targets
- Run regular performance reviews with the agency and critically assess their reporting rather than accepting it at face value
- Push the agency on testing velocity, creative refresh cadence, and account hygiene, including tracking, attribution, and account structure
- Evaluate agency recommendations with a strong working knowledge of execution, identifying underperformance or missed opportunities
- Manage the agency relationship end to end, including contracts, statements of work, retainers, and performance-based renewals where applicable
Cross Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with the global marketing and brand team to ensure creative assets, brand guidelines, and campaign inputs reach the agency on time
- Brief the agency and internal creative resources on asset requirements based on what is performing well
- Work with the website and conversion rate optimization team to align landing pages and offers with active paid campaigns
- Partner with retention and CRM teams so paid strategy remains aligned with overall lifetime value and post purchase economics
Reporting and Governance
- Build and maintain a leadership facing view of performance, including dashboards and regular reports, independent of what the agency provides
- Own tracking and attribution accuracy at a governance level, ensuring the agency maintains clean pixel and conversion setups, with periodic audits
- Stay ahead of platform and privacy changes to guide agency strategy proactively
Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in performance marketing, including prior hands-on execution experience running campaigns directly in a DTC or e commerce environment
- Experience managing an external agency or vendor for paid media, ideally with direct accountability for budgets and targets
- Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads, sufficient to audit account structure, targeting, and creative strategy
- Ability to read and critically assess performance data, including CAC, ROAS, CTR, CVR, AOV, LTV, and MER
- Strong project management and coordination skills, as this role sits at the intersection of the agency, the global marketing team, the website and CRO team, and leadership
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to brief stakeholders across teams and time zones and hold agencies to a high standard professionally
- Solid understanding of the full DTC funnel and how paid acquisition strategy connects to conversion and retention economics
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, though not mandatory with sufficient relevant experience
- Prior experience specifically as an in-house lead managing an agency of record.
- Experience coordinating with global or regional marketing teams across geographies
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools such as Klaviyo, WebEngage, or MoEngage.
- Arabic language proficiency is a plus
