Role Description

El Hossam Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and experienced Pharmacist Assistant to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves supporting pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations, assisting in preparing and dispensing medications, organizing inventory, and providing professional assistance to customers. The Pharmacist Assistant plays an important role in ensuring efficient pharmacy operations and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptions.
  • Support pharmacists in reviewing and organizing prescriptions before dispensing.
  • Help customers with basic product inquiries and direct medical questions to the pharmacist
  • Organize and maintain medication shelves and storage areas.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control and expiry date tracking.
  • Handle pharmacy transactions and assist with sales processes when needed.
  • Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with pharmacy standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and assist in managing pharmacy records.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or pharmacy assistant diploma/certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in a community pharmacy is required (minimum 12 years preferred).
  • Good knowledge of medications and ability to read prescriptions accurately.
  • Ability to assist in preparing medications under pharmacist supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems or POS systems is an advantage.
  • Ability to begin work immediately is highly preferred.
