Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy under appropriate supervision.
  • Receive prescriptions and customer requests and direct clinical or medication-related queries to the licensed pharmacist.
  • Support the preparation, labeling, and organization of prescribed medicines in accordance with approved procedures and within the permitted scope of the role.
  • Retrieve medicines and healthcare products accurately from shelves or storage areas for pharmacist verification.
  • Process sales transactions, issue receipts, and handle approved payment methods accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, stock movements, invoices, and other pharmacy documentation.
  • Monitor medicine and product stock levels and report shortages, near-expiry items, and replenishment requirements.
  • Receive deliveries, verify quantities against purchase documents, and arrange products in the appropriate storage locations.
  • Ensure medicines and healthcare products are stored according to required temperature, safety, and storage conditions.
  • Conduct regular expiry-date checks and separate expired, damaged, or recalled products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional presentation of the pharmacy, shelves, counters, and storage areas.
  • Arrange products and promotional materials according to approved merchandising and category guidelines.
  • Assist customers with general product-location enquiries and refer all medical advice, dosage, substitution, and treatment questions to the pharmacist.
  • Coordinate with pharmacists, warehouse teams, suppliers, and other departments regarding stock availability and operational requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, prescription, and company information.
  • Comply with company policies, pharmacy procedures, health-authority requirements, and applicable professional standards.
  • Perform other pharmacy-support duties assigned by the supervising pharmacist or management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications, used by pharmacies.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
