This role is responsible for daily pharmaceutical operations, including the preparation, verification, labelling, dispensing, and delivery of medications to patients. The incumbent ensures the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and safety in accordance with M42 and DOH/DHA policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. Additionally, the role involves providing pharmacy education to staff, interns, and students.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labelling, dispensing, and delivering medications in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physicians orders and prescriptions, identifying any therapeutic incompatibilities.
  • Assists in maintaining records for controlled substances and manages the removal of outdated or damaged drugs.
  • Provides supervision, training, and development for pharmacy technicians and team members.
  • Organizes and directs technicians workflow, verifying preparation, labelling, and order entries.
  • Works closely with pharmacy staff to ensure optimal workflow and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy with an active DOH license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical field.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills possess knowledge of key pharmaceutical procedures and current best practices.
