About the OpportunityOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Pharmacist – Procurement to join their Procurement & Supply Chain team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and healthcare supplies while ensuring regulatory compliance, supplier coordination, inventory optimization, and uninterrupted product availability. This role requires strong pharmaceutical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support efficient procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities- Procure pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and healthcare supplies in line with business requirements.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent stock shortages.
- Ensure compliance with SFDA regulations and internal procurement policies.
- Review purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to meet procurement needs.
- Monitor product expiry and support effective inventory management.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare procurement reports.
- Evaluate supplier performance and support continuous process improvements.
- Assist with regulatory audits and ensure procurement compliance.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
- Valid Saudi Pharmacist License issued by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), or eligibility to obtain one.
- Additional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Experience- 2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Experience within pharmaceutical distributors, hospitals, healthcare organizations, or retail pharmacy chains is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software is an advantage.
