PHP ArchitectJob Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled PHP Architect to design, develop, and oversee scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining application architecture, establishing development standards, guiding engineering teams, and ensuring that technical solutions align with business objectives. This role requires strong expertise in PHP development, software architecture, database design, and modern web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable software architectures for complex web applications using PHP.
Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and best practices for development teams.
Lead architectural planning, system design, and technical decision-making.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and application frameworks.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements to performance, scalability, and security.
Oversee database architecture, data structures, and integration processes.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Review code, conduct technical assessments, and ensure development quality.
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across application environments.
Implement security standards, testing strategies, and deployment practices.
Guide development teams through technical challenges and support knowledge sharing.
Research emerging technologies and recommend suitable tools and frameworks.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Extensive experience in PHP development and software architecture.
Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
Proficiency in MySQL, PostgreSQL, database optimization, and data modeling.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development practices.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git.
Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, and scalable system design.
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
