Position: Senior Backend Developer (PHP Laravel)

Location: 100% Remote Based in Egypt

Job Type: Full-time (Contract 6 to 12 months, with potential extension)

Salary: Competitive salary (based on experience & seniority)

Experience Required: 46 years of hands-on experience in backend development using PHP Laravel, building secure and scalable APIs

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (PHP Laravel) to design and build secure, high-performance backend systems and APIs that power a fintech application.

You will play a key role in developing backend services, ensuring security, scalability, and compliance with regulatory and industry best practices, while collaborating closely with mobile (Flutter) and frontend teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable RESTful APIs
• Build and optimize backend business logic using PHP Laravel
• Integrate backend systems with external services and platforms
• Implement security best practices (authentication, authorization, encryption, logging)
• Ensure backend systems meet compliance and regulatory standards
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
• Collaborate closely with mobile (Flutter) and frontend teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with PHP Laravel
• Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of MySQL (schema design, optimization, security)
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with secure API authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, TLS)
• Strong understanding of backend security and access control principles

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated environments
• Familiarity with compliance-driven backend systems
• Experience integrating backend services with mobile applications (Flutter)
