Qualification:
Bachelor/Master in Physical Education
Skiils:
- Plan and deliver engaging, purposeful and appropriately challenging PE lessons in accordance with the British Curriculum and school curriculum expectations.
- Develop pupils physical skills, coordination, fitness, confidence and understanding of healthy lifestyles.
- Provide a broad range of sporting and physical activities appropriate to the age, ability and interests of pupils.
- Differentiate teaching and activities effectively to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities, including pupils with additional learning needs.
- Establish a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support active learning and pupil engagement.
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, leadership and respect through PE and sporting activities.
- Monitor and evaluate pupil progress and use assessment information to inform future planning and teaching.
- Provide appropriate feedback to pupils to support improvement and development.
- Ensure lessons reflect appropriate progression of knowledge and physical skills across Key Stage 2.
- Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils during all PE lessons and sporting activities.
- Conduct appropriate risk assessments and follow school procedures relating to the use of sports facilities and equipment.
- Ensure PE equipment and facilities are used safely and responsibly.
- Follow the school's safeguarding, child protection, behaviour and health and safety policies.
- Maintain appropriate supervision of pupils at all times.
Qualification:
Bachelor/Master in Physical Education
Skiils:
- Sound understanding of the principles and expectations of the British Curriculum for PE at Key Stage 2.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to differentiate effectively and support pupils with diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
