Title: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Doctor

Sector: Healthcare/Medical

Duration: 2-year contract

Location: Kuwait

Salary

KWD 1650 2180 p/m tax-free

Role Responsibilities

• Complete examination of patients to assess their mobility, strength, communication etc
• Record test results, generate treatment plans
• Prescribe physical therapy to suitable patients
• Direct interns and residents during diagnosis and treatment of potential disabilities/conditions
• Treat performance-related conditions e.g. sports injuries
• Develop long-term treatment plans e.g. occupational therapy
• Work with other disciplines where necessary
• Use electrodiagnosis
• Prescribe orthotic and prosthetic applications and equipment e.g. wheelchairs

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in General medicine
• Specialism in physical medicine and rehabilitation or PHD in Medicine, Orthopaedics, Neurology or Rheumatology

Skills and experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of documented post-qualification experience
• Strong, across the board, medical knowledge
• Good leadership and mentoring skills
• Fluent English language skills
• For applicants applying from outside of Kuwait, candidates must pass the MOH exam
