Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PL/SQL Developer (Oracle APEX) role based in Chennai. The PL/SQL Developer will design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers to support business applications. The role includes building and customizing Oracle APEX applications, creating interactive reports and forms, and optimizing SQL queries for performance and scalability. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, support ETL workflows, and ensure data integrity and security. Day-to-day responsibilities also include troubleshooting production issues, participating in code reviews, preparing technical documentation, and following secure coding and development best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong PL/SQL and Oracle database programming skills, with experience in Oracle APEX application development.
- Proficiency in database concepts, including Database Triggers, stored procedures, functions, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, data integration, and handling large datasets.
- Solid Software Development and Programming fundamentals, including SDLC, version control, and code review practices.
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to analyze requirements, debug complex issues, and optimize solutions.
- Experience working on enterprise applications in a production environment, preferably in a technology or consulting setting.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure) and integration with enterprise platforms is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders on-site in Chennai.
