Job Overview
The Placement Director will lead the college's student career development, training, and industry engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for building strong employer partnerships, driving student employability programs, and ensuring high-quality internship and placement opportunities for students across all academic programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Placement & Internship Management
- Develop and execute yearly placement strategies to meet employment targets for all graduating batches.
- Identify and secure internship and full-time job opportunities with reputed companies in the UAE and internationally.
- Track placement outcomes, maintain dashboards, and prepare periodic reports for leadership and accreditation bodies.
- Ensure smooth coordination of campus recruitment drives, interviews, job fairs, and employer visits.
2. Corporate Relations & Partnerships
- Build and nurture strong relationships with industry partners, HR leaders, and corporate organisations.
- Develop MoUs and long-term strategic partnerships to support employment, internships, research, and project collaborations.
- Represent the college at industry forums, events, and networking platforms to enhance institutional visibility.
3. Training & Student Development
- Design and deliver employability training programs including resume building, interview preparation, communication skills, and workplace readiness.
- Coordinate with academic departments to integrate soft-skills, career planning, and industry exposure into the curriculum.
- Facilitate mock interviews, assessment centres, and personality development workshops.
4. Employer & Student Engagement
- Conduct regular employer feedback surveys to understand talent requirements and improve student preparedness.
- Guide students on career paths, job search strategies, and industry trends through counseling and mentoring sessions.
- Maintain a strong engagement pipeline through career events, industry talks, and alumni interactions.
Experience:
- 812 years of experience in placements, corporate relations, or career services.
- Prior experience in higher education or recruitment within the GCC is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong corporate networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Experience organising campus drives, recruitment events, and student training programs.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and multicultural environments.
