Job Summary
The incumbent's goal is to work closely with the Planning Controller to design and optimize public transport routes and resources, ensuring efficient and effective planning solutions that support business growth and improvement.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks
Operational Planning and Optimization
- Create and maintain operational plans for public transportation services, aligning with Mowasalat agreements and stakeholder requirements.
- Analyze data to optimize routes and resources, enhancing service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver optimal fleet and resource plans, supporting Operations planning and stakeholder agreements.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
- Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to address operational challenges and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Gather regular feedback from Depot Managers on operational challenges, additional needs, and potential improvements.
Team Guidance and Supervision
- Lead and supervise Public Transport planning staff, ensuring effective operations planning.
- Organize internal training sessions to enhance staff capabilities and multitasking skills.
- Provide coaching and feedback to support staff growth and improvement.
Performance Monitoring and Improvement
- Establish and track performance metrics, ensuring service quality and identifying areas for improvement.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for service enhancements.
- Offer recommendations for service improvements and expansions, driving business growth.
Other Tasks
- Perform any additional related duties assigned by the respective line manager to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and safeguard sensitive and confidential data of Mowasalat.
Minimum Required Qualifications, Certificates & Skills
- Education: Diploma in Transportation Planning, Operations Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of experience in transportation planning, operations management, or related field.
Certifications:
- Certified Transportation Planner (CTP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Certification
